So how hard is it?

First time for the north face and just wondering how hard will it be. Coming from NZ am used to trail running (Kepler, Hump Routeburn etc) and dodgy surfaces. What mix of foot tracks and vehicle tracks/roads are there on this run, and what nasty surprises might await (forewarned is forearmed).

Apart from several of the most venomous snakes in the world and massive poisonous spiders you shouldnt have any nasty suprises
), just look out for border security at the airport

Parts of the run (the landslide before CP1) is quite slow going scrambling over the rocks/boulders. Other parts can get a bit slow due to the congestion up and down the stairs. Other than those elements it's all very runable. Just make sure you have a kick-ass headlight for the night time - the last 10kms is also quite rough in parts.
